The President's Corner

As President of Ruston Firefighter's Association Local 4019, I would like to personally welcome you to our website. We are members of the Professional  Firefighters of Louisiana and the International Association of Firefighters. The IAFF represents close to 300,000 firefighters and Emergency personnel, who protect more than 85% of the nation's population. The IAFF is the driving force behind nearly every advance in the fire and emergency services in the 20th century. With extremely active political and legislative programs, and with recognized experts in the fields of occupational health and safety, fire based EMS and hazardous materials training, the IAFF has established standards for the North American fire service. Our mission as an IAFF local is to advocate for safer jobs, proper staffing and better pay for our membership. We are a member-driven organization- for firefighters, by firefighters. Apart from being a political force and keeping our members informed on issues pertaining to our profession, we are also active in our community. Local 4019 heads up several fundraisers each year. Our main charity, as well as the IAFF's is the Muscular Dystrophy Association. We support MDA by having a 'boot drive' and a golf tournament, annually. We also help host a bull ride each year with proceeds benefitting DART (Domestic Abuse Resistance Team). We are proud to serve the citizens of Ruston and Lincoln Parish by giving you the best care during any emergency. We developed this website so you could learn a little more about the men and women who protect you.
